1 जनवरी - वैश्विक परिवार दिवस

1 January - Global Family Day

 इस दिवस का उद्देश्य विश्व शांति है। इस दिन परिवार को लोग साथ आयें और एकजुट समाज की रचना करें, यही इस दिवस का उद्देश्य है।

 The purpose of this day is world peace.  On this day, the family should come together and create a united society, that is the purpose of this day.

6 जनवरी - विश्व युद्ध अनाथ दिवस

January 6 - World War Orphans Day

इस दिन का उद्देश्य युद्ध के अनाथों को संबोधित करना है क्योंकि यह दुनिया भर में बढ़ते मानवीय और सामाजिक संकट बन गया है। यह दिन युद्ध के अनाथों की भविष्यवाणी को सुनिश्चित करता है। यह बताता है कि अनाथालय में बड़े होने वाले बच्चे भावनात्मक, सामाजिक और शारीरिक बाधाएं अनुभव करते हैं।

The purpose of this day is to address the orphans of war as it has become a growing human and social crisis around the world.  This day ensures the prediction of war orphans.  It states that children who grow up in an orphanage experience emotional, social and physical barriers.

9 जनवरी -  प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस

9 January - Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस भारत सरकार द्वारा प्रतिवर्ष 9 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है। इसी दिन महात्मा गांधी दक्षिण अफ्रीका से स्वदेश वापस आये थे। इस दिवस को मनाने की शुरुवात सन २००३ से हुई थी। प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस मनाने की संकल्पना स्वर्गीय लक्ष्मीमल सिंघवी के दिमाग की उपज ।

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated on 9 January every year by the Government of India.  Mahatma Gandhi returned home from South Africa on the same day.  The celebrations of this day started in the year 2003.  The concept of celebrating Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is the brainchild of Late Lakshmimal Singhvi.

10 जनवरी - विश्व हंसी दिवस

10 January - World Laughter Day

विश्व हास्य दिवस विश्व भर में मई महीने के पहले रविवार को मनाया जाता है। इसका विश्व दिवस के रूप में प्रथम आयोजन ११ जनवरी, १९९८ को मुंबई में किया गया था। विश्व हास्य योग आंदोलन की स्थापना का श्रेय डॉ मदन कटारिया को जाता है।

World Comedy Day is celebrated worldwide on the first Sunday of May.  Its first day as World Day was held on 11 January 1949 in Mumbai.  The credit for founding the World Comedy Yoga movement goes to Dr. Madan Kataria.

11 जनवरी - लाल बहादुर शास्त्री की मौत की सालगिरह

January 11 - Lal Bahadur Shastri's death anniversary

11 जनवरी 1966 को अपनी मृत्यु तक लगभग अठारह महीने भारत के प्रधानमन्त्री रहे। इस प्रमुख पद पर उनका कार्यकाल अद्वितीय रहा।शास्त्री जी ने काशी विद्यापीठ से शास्त्री की उपाधि प्राप्त 

The Prime Minister of India remained for nearly eighteen months until his death on 11 January 1966.  His tenure in this major post was unique. Shastriji received the title of Shastri from Kashi Vidyapeeth.

12 जनवरी - स्वामी विवेकानंद के राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस 

January 12 - National Youth Day of Swami Vivekananda

संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ के निर्णयानुसार सन् १९८४ ई. को 'अन्तरराष्ट्रीय युवा वर्ष' घोषित किया गया। इसके महत्त्व का विचार करते हुए भारत सरकार ने घोषणा की कि सन १९८४ से १२ जनवरी यानी स्वामी विवेकानन्द जयन्ती का दिन राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के रूप में देशभर में सर्वत्र मनाया जाए।

The year 1919 was declared as the 'International Youth Year' as decided by the United Nations.  Considering its importance, the Government of India announced that from 1919 to 12 January, the day of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti should be celebrated all over the country as National Youth Day.

15 जनवरी - राष्ट्रीय सेना दिवस

15 January - National Army Day

आज थल सेना दिवस है. फील्ड मार्शल केएम करियप्पा के सम्मान में हर साल 15 जनवरी को सेना दिवस मनाया जाता है. करियप्पा भारतीय सेना के पहले कमांडर-इन-चीफ थे, जिन्होंने 15 जनवरी 1949 में सर फ्रैंसिस बुचर से प्रभार लिया था.

जनरल करियप्पा ने 1947 में भारत-पाक के बीच हुए युद्ध में भारतीय सेना की कमान संभाली थी. भारत ने इस युद्ध में पाकिस्‍तान को धूल चटा दी थी. सेना दिवस के अवसर पर पूरा देश थल सेना की वीरता, अदम्य साहस, शौर्य और उसकी कुर्बानी को याद करता है.

Today is Army Day.  Army Day is celebrated every year on 15 January in honor of Field Marshal KM Cariappa.  Cariappa was the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, who took charge from Sir Francis Butcher on 15 January 1949.

 General Cariappa took command of the Indian Army in the 1947 Indo-Pak war.  India had killed Pakistan in this war.  On the occasion of Army Day, the entire nation remembers the valor, indomitable courage, bravery and sacrifice of the army

23 जनवरी - नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस की जन्मगांठ

January 23 - Birth of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

शुभाष चॉन्द्रो बोशु, जन्म: 23 जनवरी 1897, मृत्यु: 18 अगस्त 1945) जो नेता जी के नाम से भी जाने जाते हैं, भारत के स्वतन्त्रता संग्राम के अग्रणी तथा सबसे बड़े नेता थे। द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध के दौरान, अंग्रेज़ों के खिलाफ लड़ने के लिये, उन्होंने जापान के सहयोग से आज़ाद हिन्द फौज का गठन किया था। उनके द्वारा दिया गया जय हिन्द का नारा भारत का राष्ट्रीय नारा, बन गया है। "तुम मुझे खून दो मैं तुम्हे आजादी दूंगा" का नारा भी उनका था जो उस समय अत्यधिक प्रचलन में आया।

Shubhash Chandro Boshu, born: 23 January 1897, died: 18 August 1945), also known as Netaji, was the pioneer and greatest leader of India's freedom struggle.  During World War II, he formed the Azad Hind Fauj with the support of Japan to fight against the British.  The slogan of Jai Hind given by him has become the national slogan of India.  His slogan of "Give me blood, I will give you freedom" was also very popular at that time.

24 जनवरी - राष्ट्रीय लड़की बाल दिवस भारत

24 January - National Girl Children's Day India

इस दिन इंदिरा गांधी पहली बार प्रधानमंत्री की कुर्सी पर बैठी थी इसलिए इस दिन को राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया।

Indira Gandhi was sitting on the Prime Minister's chair for the first time on this day, so it was decided to celebrate this day as National Girl Child Day.

25 जनवरी - राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन दिवस

 25 January - National Tourism Day

भारतीय पर्यटन दिवस भारत के इतिहास का एक गौरवशाली दिवस है | विवधता में एकता हमारे देश की खासियत है | अनेकों विविधताएं लिए हमारा देश अपने खूबसूरत पर्यटन स्थलों के कारण समूचे विश्व में अपना विशेष स्थान लिए हुये है।

Indian Tourism Day is a glorious day in the history of India.  Unity in diversity is the specialty of our country.  Our country has taken its special place all over the world due to its beautiful tourist places with many variations.

26 जनवरी - भारत का गणतंत्र दिवस

26 January - Republic Day of India

26 जनवरी 1950 को इसके संविधान को आत्मसात किया गया, जिसके अनुसार भारत देश एक लोकतांत्रिक देश बना ।

 Its constitution was assimilated on 26 January 1950, according to which India became a democratic country.

27 जनवरी - इंटरनेशनल होलोकॉस्ट रिमेम्बरेंस डे

27 January - International Holocaust Remembrance Day

संयुक्त राष्ट्र के भारत कार्यालय और 13 देशों के दूतावास 'इंटरनेशनल होलोकॉस्ट रिमेम्बरेंस डे' के मौके पर नई दिल्ली में एकत्र हुए और द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के समय जर्मनी के तानाशाह हिटलर द्वारा यहूदी समुदाय के लोगों के नरसंहार को याद करते हुए ऐसी घटना फिर न हो, इसका संकल्प लिया। 

 The United Nations Office of India and the Embassy of 13 countries gathered in New Delhi on the occasion of 'International Holocaust Remembrance Day' and recalled the genocide of the Jewish community by the German dictator Hitler during World War II.  , Resolved it.

28 जनवरी - लाला लाजपत राय के डेटा संरक्षण दिवस

January 28 - Lala Lajpat Rai's Data Protection Day

यूरोप की परिषद ने प्रत्येक वर्ष 28 जनवरी को मनाया जाने वाला एक डेटा सुरक्षा दिवस शुरू किया था, जिस तारीख को यूरोप के डेटा संरक्षण सम्मेलन, जिसे "कन्वेंशन 108" के रूप में जाना जाता है, हस्ताक्षर के लिए खोला गया था.

The Council of Europe began a Data Protection Day celebrated on 28 January each year, the date on which the Data Protection Conference of Europe, known as "Convention 108" was opened for signature.

30 जनवरी - राष्ट्रीय शहीद दिवस 

 30 January - National Martyr's Day

भारत में कई तिथियाँ शहीद दिवस के रूप में मनायी जातीं हैं, जिनमें मुख्य हैं- 30 जनवरी, 23 मार्च, 21 अक्टूबर, 17 नवम्बर, 19 नवम्बर तथा 27 मई ।  21 अक्टूबर पुलिस द्वारा मनाया जाने वाला शहीद दिवस है।

  

 Many dates are celebrated in India as Martyr's Day, the main ones being 30 January, 23 March, 21 October, 17 November, 19 November and 27 May.  21 October is Martyr's Day celebrated by the police.
